A BIT ABOUT ME

I grew up in Germany and was brought to the US by my love for traveling, as well as the desire
to study psychology. After completing my B.S. in Psychology at Auburn University at Montgomery,

I moved to North Carolina, to attend UNC Chapel Hill, where I earned my Master’s degree

in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling in 2019.

When not at the office, you can find me spending time with my husband and our two dogs, traveling,
trying new restaurants, or tackling yet another DIY project.

MY
PHILOSOPHY

No two people are alike and therefore everyone deserves treatment that is tailored to their individual circumstances and needs.

After having had the opportunity to work with many
different individuals in a variety of settings, my experience has shaped my approach to be person-centered and individualized. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults from various backgrounds, regardless of their gender, sexuality, or beliefs.

I strive to provide you with a non-judgmental and supportive environment, to allow you to grow and take steps towards reaching your goals.

MY EXPERIENCE & APPROACH

I´ve had the opportunity to work with adolescents and adults in intensive inpatient care, outpatient services, group settings, as well as individual therapy. I have experience with a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, OCD, life transitioning, self-confidence, and substance use. I enjoy using a combination of modalities in my work to tailor it to your specific needs. Therapy is a place to identify your personal strengths and values, improve relationships,
and work toward your goals.

A BIT ABOUT ME

I grew up in a small town outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and completed my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Washington & Jefferson College. I moved to North Carolina quickly after graduation in order to attend UNC Chapel Hill, where I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling in 2019. After 2 years in North Carolina, I realized that the weather here is much better than in Pennsylvania, so I decided to plant my roots. When I am not in the office, you can find me at a yoga studio, exploring a new coffee shop, cooking another pasta dish, or spending time with my husband and our two cats (who occasionally like to make an appearance during a virtual appointment).

MY
PHILOSOPHY

I’ve been able to work with clients of all ages, and from various backgrounds, which has shown me that no treatment method works in a universal fashion. Every technique has to be tailored to each client in order to be effective, and every client needs to have a voice in their treatment. Thus, I use a person-centered therapy approach and include additional members, such as parents or caregivers, as needed throughout the therapeutic process to ensure that client progress can continue outside of the office.

IMG_1542_edited.png

MY EXPERIENCE & APPROACH

I have provided psychotherapy to adolescents and adults, who are experiencing challenges related to anxiety, depression, grief, ADHD, burn-out, trauma, and relationship/family transitions. I also have experience providing play therapy to children, which includes working alongside their caregivers to aid with achieving behavioral and mood regulation at home, in school, and across all other areas of the child’s life. In order to reach such goals, I use a variety of modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, strength-based therapy, play therapy, art therapy, person-centered therapy, and family therapy. Although these treatment approaches are important in guiding therapy, I also consider the therapeutic alliance to be of upmost importance. Therefore, I focus on building trust with my clients and providing a safe space for them to explore their difficulties, build on their strengths, and enhance their overall wellbeing.

A BIT ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Indiana, where I stayed to complete my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work at the University of Southern Indiana. After that, I moved to Kentucky to attend the University of Kentucky, earning my Master’s in Social Work in 2020. I made Kentucky home for a few years before leaping over to North Carolina at the beginning of 2025. Outside of sessions, I’m usually working on a puzzle, attempting some crafts, reading, binge-watching my latest TV obsession, or spending time with my husband and our two very energetic dogs (who definitely keep us on our toes).

MY
PHILOSOPHY

My approach to therapy is rooted in creating a safe, compassionate space where we can work together to understand your experiences and support your healing process. I adapt my methods to fit your unique needs, drawing on tools like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy, and EMDR. Above all, my goal is to help you build resilience, deepen your self-awareness, and find the strength and tools to move forward with confidence and clarity.

IMG_3447_edited.jpg

MY EXPERIENCE & APPROACH

As a licensed clinical social worker and therapist, I’ve developed a deep focus on supporting teenagers and young adults as they navigate all that comes with growing up and life transitions while finding their place in the world. I specialize in helping individuals who are navigating the impact of trauma, whether it’s recent or deeply rooted, and the challenges that follow. I also work with individuals facing eating disorders, supporting them in healing from the emotional and psychological effects while fostering a healthier relationship with food and body. I help people facing body image concerns by addressing internalized beliefs and societal pressures. For those dealing with anxiety, I offer strategies to understand its root causes and regain a sense of control. And for individuals struggling with depression, I provide a supportive space to help navigate the emotional heaviness, working toward reclaiming joy, energy, and purpose.

A BIT ABOUT ME

I was born in Raleigh, and raised in Knightdale, NC. After graduating from East Carolina University, I moved to New York City to obtain my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Columbia University in 2019. When I'm not in the office, I am spending time with my daughter, finding new recipes to try, or listening to podcasts.

MY
PHILOSOPHY

Working with various individuals, especially within marginalized groups, has taught me the importance of community. Therapy should feel collaborative and authentic for it to be most effective. Together, I work with my clients to unpack any negative thought patterns that could make them feel anxious, scared, or stuck. I am honored to be on the journey with clients as they increase their emotional awareness and start to make the changes needed to become the best version of themselves.

MY EXPERIENCE & APPROACH

I provide trauma-informed therapy to adolescents and adults, who are experiencing grief, anxiety, depression, as well as identity struggles due to life transitions. I particularly enjoy working with individuals of the BIPOC community. I have experience utilizing CBT, DBT, psychodynamic and motivational interviewing as treatment modalities. My approach is primarily focused on building a genuine and mutually respectful therapeutic relationship with my clients. I am intentional in creating a space that is warm, inviting, and safe for them to explore all of their thoughts and feelings.

A BIT ABOUT ME

I moved to NC over 10 years ago to attend NC State University where I earned both my Bachelor's degree and my Master's degree in Social Work. I quickly learned how much I loved the culture, the people, and especially the food here in the Triangle. Thus, I began to create my life here and got settled in. When I am not in the office, you can often find me spending time with my family outdoors, creating, or enjoying a nice hot mug of coffee.

MY
PHILOSOPHY

I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients from all walks of life. In doing so, I have found each person is deserving of the patience and compassion necessary to create and work toward goals that are in alignment with their values. I enjoy partnering with my client to identify strengths and work through barriers. Together, we will work to achieve a sense of wholeness and well-being.
